Getting around

Trains, buses & parking

Trains: Brightline (501 Evernia St, about a 20-minute walk) runs to Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Orlando. Tri-Rail (203 S Tamarind Ave, about 26 minutes on foot) is the cheaper commuter train south to Miami, weekends too.

Around town: West Palm Move's route stops at PBA and runs about every 10 minutes to Clematis Street, CityPlace and Northwood Village for $1 (tap a card; no cash). Its on-demand rides are $2 in the app. Palm Tran Route 41 crosses to Palm Beach and Midtown Beach (weekdays and Saturdays); Route 1 runs up and down Dixie Hwy ($2 a ride, $5 a day).

Parking: visitors register at PBA's Department of Public Safety (Acacia Rd & S Olive Ave) for a guest pass. Downtown garages are $1 for the first 2 hours and $5 all day on weekends (ParkMobile app).

Clematis by Night

Free concerts every Thursday, 6–9pm, at Centennial Square and the Great Lawn on the waterfront, about half a mile from campus (none on Thanksgiving or Christmas Eve).

West Palm Beach GreenMarket

Saturdays 8:30am–1:30pm, October 3 to May 22, at 100 N Clematis St on the waterfront (no market Feb 6 or Mar 20). The City Center, Clematis and Sapodilla garages are free during market hours.

Midtown Beach

The closest beach: S Ocean Blvd at Royal Palm Way in Palm Beach, about a mile away over the Royal Park Bridge (or Palm Tran Route 41). Lifeguards every day; pay to park with ParkMobile. Rip currents are common, so swim near a lifeguard and check the beach card above.

Just south of campus. Students with ID pay $5, and Art After Dark is every Friday, 5–10pm. Closed Tuesdays.
